TEAR MENDER PRODUCTS

We received a sample from Tear Mender the other day and started to look for things we could repair. Tear Mender is suitable for any long lasting and permanent bond and we knew we could put it to good use.  Learning that Tear Mender is water-proof, non-toxic, UV resistant and non-toxic confirmed that this was right up our alley.

The first thing that caught our attention was a picture frame that had the back of the frame pulling away from the frame itself. We immediately put it on the “we can fix-it” list before a small disaster occurred.  The directions were easy to follow. Shake well before using, spread a layer on the item being repaired, press together, allow to dry.

We chose to try three different types of applicators, a toothpick, a cotton swap, and a small paint brush. Though all three of these choices worked, we found that the paint brush allowed us to apply the product more quickly and evenly.   We could have used a finger, but we wanted to put this product to the test!

The final result is our picture frame has been saved and once again makes a nice appearance on the wall!

Important warning:  If you suffer from latex allergies this product is not for you.  Tear Meander is a natural latex compound as reported in the Material Safety Data Sheet.

DRI DUCK

I was cleaning up tonight and picked up a jacket that my husband had worn.  As I walked to the closet to hang it I could not help but to notice the weight and the nice construction of the garment.  Gosh, I must have really been concerned about his warmth when I bought this, I thought!  I looked to see where it was made.  China.  Aaargh.  You know how I feel about this, but something made me look into DRI DUCK farther.

DRI DUCK has their corporate headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas and a distribution center about five miles down the road in Lenexa, Kansas.  Another story of companies having to send work overseas in order to keep costs under control.

We published a link on our site for DRI DUCK coveralls at 60% off.  Stop in and get yourself  a pair! www.georgiannahardwarecorporation.com

State of the Union

It seems that the State of the Union is pretty much status quo.  From what I can tell, our government is too afraid to take real action.  Instead our officials are going to talk about it and take some time to think about it. This means we at GHC need to push extra hard to keep sharing information that will help you and other Americans achieve greater success.

Back when we first started our business we featured toys that we made in America by Melissa and Doug.  I guess that most of us have always wanted to drive a big truck or a loader and fell in love with the thought back when we were children.  Melissa and Doug give children that opportunity and it is great to see that their small company has grown over these few years to a business that simply wows us.   Your business can do that too!

Remember, we investigate everything that we publish on our website so that you save time and can get the job done.  Visit Georgianna Hardware Corporation to see what is new.

Socialaundry's recent press release was easily missed unless you happened across it like we did.

Socialaundry says that they are a group of socially-engaged, charitable people who are passionate about doing things the right way.  There is no doubt that Socialaundry has made a noble effort by supporting victims of Hurricane Sandy.  They have committed themselves to have their ReNew Jersey t-shirts at HMSHost Travel Plazas throughout New Jersey.

We encourage you to read Socialaundry's press release about the ReNew Jersey campaign.

After the Super Bowl

It was Colin Kaepernick's tenth NFL career start.  Super Bowl 47 was his tenth time starting a game in his position and Kaepernick stayed cool throughout the entire game.  He played the game while over twenty million people watched and he made the second half of the game exciting!  That's a tough gig for a young man of 25 years.

It seems to this author that the majority of folks missed it.  Colin Kaepernick gave each of us a gift.  He showed us the true essence of sportsmanship.  We should all remind ourselves to practice what we know is right, whether it is on the playing field or in business.

Football is like life. It teaches work, sacrifice, perseverance, competitive drive, selflessness, and respect for authority.
